Rapid growth fueled by customer satisfaction led to a new facility south of De Pere, Wisconsin, in 2014. QuiCK Transport hired its first mechanic to maintain a fleet that now numbered 13 trucks and 18 trailers.

The year 2017 was a key moment in our history with the purchase of the building and assets of a local flatbed company. We moved operations to Kaukauna, Wisconsin, and decided to exit refrigerated and focus on open-deck freight. We purchased the flatbed assets of another competitor in 2019, right before the pandemic hit.

A recent investment in a storage building has allowed us to accommodate short-term storage and trans loading business. We currently operate 30 trucks and approximately 130 trailers, specializing in high-dollar shipments and project-based work.

The Evolution of QuiCK Transport into a Specialized Open-Deck and Project Freight Carrier

QuiCK Transport is the embodiment of a small business that has carved out a significant place in the trucking industry. Company founder Quinn Kalies (that’s his initials in QuiCK Transport) purchased his first truck and flatbed trailer in 2009 and operated out of the basement of his home.

Four years later, Quinn rented a one-room office in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and added an office assistant. By this point, the company had expanded into the refrigerated market, owned five trucks and seven trailers, and outsourced maintenance to a local dealership.
